Hollywood has been abuzz recently about their indulgent love affair with lobster. From Paris Hilton to Khloe Kardashian, celebrities are making headlines with their lobster requests, lobster dinners and even lobster diving.
Paris Hilton is possibly the most well known celebrity to make magazine, blog and Twitter headlines recently with her infamous “lobster rider.” It is said that the heiress recently requested, or all but demanded, live lobster and vodka be available to her on set of an upcoming movie,
in which she was set to make a cameo as herself. Hilton’s list of demands is said to have included “live lobsters to be prepared fresh when she’s ready to eat and a bottle of Grey Goose vodka.” We know how delicious live Main lobster really is and we have to admit we don’t blame the heiress for her seemingly outlandish requests, although she strictly denies them. If we had the power to request lobster be prepared at our beck and call, we’d do it too.
Brody Jenner, star of MTV’s hit reality show The Hills, has turned his love of lobster into sport. Jenner has recently tweeted all about his lobster diving adventures. Just call him “Lobster Hunter.” Brody recently tweeted, “Check out this lobster I got out diving at 3am this morning… Insane!!” and “Been diving out at the Channel Islands for lobster the past couple days… In town for a few hours then back to the islands for a night dive.”
Prior to one of the most talked about weddings of the year, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom celebrated their pending nuptials with a rehearsal dinner at the Lobster, a beachfront restaurant in Santa Monica, California. The couple, among family and friends, dined on lobster with re
markable views of the ocean. Lobster was first choice for Khloe and Lamar to celebrate their last night before entering into wedded bliss for sentimental reasons, lobster being Lamar’s favorite meal. Ours too, Lamar.
In an upcoming issue of Vanity Fair magazine, rising star Robert Pattinson, of the Twilight saga films, is captured feasting on lobster and corn, complete with a seafood bib. And, this isn’t the only occasion on which R-Patz (as his fans refer to him) has nodded to his love of the red crustacean. Recently, he was photographed sporting a baseball cap with a lobster on the front. Guess we know this star’s seafood of choice!
